Japanese Ambassador visits Dublin City University
The Japanese Ambassador to Ireland, H.E. Mari Miyoshi visited Dublin City University on the 24th October to deliver an important lecture to Japanese students studying at DCU.
The Ambassador met Mr. Paul Smith, Director of DCU’s International Office and Mrs. Niamh O’Mahony from DCU Language Services to highlight diplomatic relations between Ireland and Japan. DCU has strong partnerships with numerous universities in Japan for exchange, study abroad and English language programmes.
During her speech, the Ambassador gave an overview of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs along with social, cultural and professional advice to a large audience.
Accompanying the Ambassador on this visit was Mr. Kenji Sato, from the Embassy of Japan, who spoke about security and safety measures. Mr. Kimio Yamaji, Consular Official at the Embassy of Japan and Ms. Akiko Sato, Market Advisor, Enterprise Ireland, also spoke about life in Ireland.
It was a great honour to host such distinguished visitors to our campus.
