The National Botanic Gardens of Ireland are an oasis of calm and beauty located in the centre of Glasnevin and just a short 20-minute walk from DCU. The Gardens are loved by both tourists and local visitors alike and contain important collections of plant species and cultivars from all over the world.

Join us for a walk down to the Gardens and take in all the beauty that Dublin has to offer!

Howth is a charming fishing village located in the north of Dublin. We’ll take a walk around the Howth Summit where we can enjoy scenic views of the cliffs, islands, and lighthouses. Then we head back to Howth village and enjoy a gentle stroll along the pier, past some of the best fish restaurants in Ireland.

At lunchtime, we can either grab something quick from the fish & chips shops or try some of the wonderful food at the Howth Market! You will have plenty of time to look around and enjoy the seaside village.

IMMA is the home of the national collection of contemporary and modern art and aims to provide an enjoyable and engaging experience of art in Ireland.

This museum is based in the Royal Hospital Kilmainham, one of the most beautiful buildings in Dublin City. The museum is surrounded by beautiful, breathtaking gardens you can walk around on a Summers day

Today we will visit Phoenix Park! It is one of the largest city parks in Europe. The Phoenix Park is Europe’s largest city park, comprising 1750 acres. It was first opened to the public in 1747 as a place of enjoyment for all the citizens of Dublin. Today, the Park is enjoyed by 10 million local, national and international visitors annually.

There are many interesting things to see here such as Dublin Zoo, the American Ambassador’s Residence and Áras an Uachtaráin (house of the President of Ireland). If you are lucky you might meet the deer that live in the park too!

If you’re interested in Dublin’s rich history then you should definitely visit Malahide this weekend.

The magnificent Walled Gardens contain a 12th Century Castle located along the beautiful north Dublin coast. You can walk around the majestic and beautiful Gardens and then afterwards, head to the village and grab some lunch, go shopping or take some pictures of the beautiful seaside!

Collins Barracks is an art & history museum. It is a great place to learn about Irish history. The museum also contains many exhibitions from around the world!  Trip Advisor Reviews rate this museum as EXCELLENT!!

Kilkenny is a medieval Irish city that has lots of wonderful ancient buildings to visit, including one of Ireland’s most beautiful castles; Kilkenny Castle.

Kilkenny is also famous for St. Canice’s Cathedral, the red ale Smithwick’s, and “Kilkenny Shops” which are the biggest supporters of Irish design.
