Photography & Videography Consent Policy

1. Scope of Consent

By granting consent, you give Dublin City University International Academy (DCU IA), and persons or companies acting with our permission, the irrevocable, worldwide right to use, reuse, publish, modify, and distribute photographs or video footage taken of you (or in which you may be included with others).

This includes, but is not limited to, usage in:

• Official DCU IA websites, landing pages, and digital platforms

• Social media channels and online campaigns

• Printed promotional materials, brochures, and exhibition displays

• Video productions, broadcasts, and digital advertisements

We reserve the right to use your images in conjunction with your name where appropriate, and to copyright the resulting photographs or video in DCU IA’s name or any other name selected.

2. Waiver and Release

By agreeing to this policy:

• Inspection Rights: You waive the right to inspect or approve the finished product, advertising copy, or video production prior to publication.

• Release of Liability: You release and discharge DCU IA, the photographer/videographer, and their respective representatives, licensees, and successors from any and all claims, actions, or demands arising out of the use of said media—including, without limitation, claims for invasion of privacy or libel.

• Duration: Consent is granted in perpetuity across all forms of media.

3. Data Protection & Privacy

All personal data (including photographic and video content) processed under this policy is handled in full compliance with the DCU Data Protection Policy.

4. Age and Capacity Declaration

By submitting media or checking the consent box on our forms, you confirm that:

1. You have read and understood this policy.

2. You are not a minor (18 years of age or older).
