DCU Library Policy

Having a quiet place to study and access academic materials is important to your learning experience. Below you’ll find key information about how Adult Language Course students can access the John and Aileen O’Reilly Library on the DCU Glasnevin Campus.

Who Can Apply

  • Library access is available to students enrolled on programmes of 25 weeks or more in duration.
  • Please note that access is only included to the DCU Glasnevin Campus library.
  • Library access is not possible for students who are attending for less than 25 weeks.

What You Can Access

Once approved, library access entitles you to:

  • Use of study spaces within the O’Reilly Library

  • Access to print journals and on-site resources

  • Library Wi-Fi while on campus

Please note that this access does not include:

  • Borrowing rights for books

  • Online journal or e-resource access

Fees

A fee of €60 applies for library access.

You can request Library Access during the course application process.

Current DCU IA students should email english.courses@dcu.ie with a photo of their DCU IA Student ID. We will then send a payment link, and once payment is received, library access will be activated.
