1. Information for EU Students
Students from EU Member States in possession of the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) are entitled to public health services in Ireland.
2. Information Non-EU Students
Non-EU/EEA/Swiss students coming to Ireland for the purposes of study are required to have appropriate private medical insurance for the duration of their stay. Students should ensure that their insurance meets the relevant Irish immigration requirements.
Personal & Medical Insurance for Students – Arranged by DCU International Academy
Students can arrange Personal & Medical Insurance through DCU International Academy when booking their English course.
The insurance provides cover for eligible medical expenses incurred while studying in Ireland and is provided by GuardMe International Insurance.
The cost is €200, with cover valid for up to eight months. Students who purchase insurance through DCU International Academy will receive the relevant documentation confirming their insurance cover.
