DCU IA offers Student Residence accommodation to international students.
Please note – residence is currently only available in summer periods – for 2026 Residence is available for bookings in the period Sunday 10 May to Saturday 29 August 2026 only.
DCU operates a number of Student Residences, including:
- DCU Hampstead and College Park Residence (single and twin ensuite bedroom in a 4-5 bedroom shared apartment)
- DCU Shanowen Residence (single ensuite bedroom in a 4-5 bedroom shared apartment)
- DCU Larkfield Residence (single, non ensuite bedroom in a shared two-bedroom apartment)
- DCU All Hallows Residence (dormitory style accommodation, on our All Hallows Campus – located 2.5km from DCU Glasnevin Campus)
Student residence accommodation is offered on a first-come, first serve basis. In general, most students / group organisers prefer single or twin bedroom ensuite accommodation, and on this basis we recommend our Hampstead, College Park and Shanowen Residences.
General Information:
- Single bedroom for individual adult students,
- Single or twin bedroom for adult-aged student groups.
- Twin rooms offered as standard for junior student groups.
- Wi-Fi is included, security on site, reception on site, laundry room on site.
- Please bring an adaptor for ‘Plug Type G’, as Ireland uses ‘G’ type sockets.
- Bed linen is included. Towels and hairdryers are not included.
Meals
- For adult students residence is offered as self-catering. There is a shared kitchen in apartments (with hob, cooker, refrigerator, utensils). Students can prepare meals in the apartment or alternatively eat from DCU Restaurant. There is a supermarket on campus, and students can purchase groceries there to prepare in their apartment.
- For junior students, full board meals are offered as standard. No utensils or cooking equipment will be provided in the apartment.
DCU has a dedicated in-house accommodation team, and does not contract accommodation services to a third party. We have over 1,400 residential bedrooms.
When making an online application for your programme, please indicate if you wish to book Residence accommodation. Usually students will book Residence accommodation from one day before their course starts (Sunday), until the day after their course concludes (Saturday). However we can be flexible to suit arrival / departure on other days to meet your travel schedule (subject to availability).

Fees:
The fees for residence accommodation are €315 per week, plus a once off accommodation placement fee of €110.
