Dublin City University enjoys a long-established reputation as Ireland’s leading provider of summer residential language programmes for Junior Students. This is our flagship programme for young learners and bookings are now open for summer 2026.
Programme Overview
We offer an all-inclusive programme that provides classes, on-site residential accommodation (ensuite), full board meals, activities, airport transfers and ongoing support from our excellent team during your programme.
Key Information:
- Our Summer Residential Programmes operate from DCU Glasnevin Campus (our main campus), which is 85 acres in size, set in low rise parkland development.
- The campus is modern, well equipped, and all services are co-located within a few minutes of each other – for example our classrooms are two minutes walking from our residence, and our restaurant is two minutes walking from our classrooms.
- The campus houses a wide variety of services – classrooms, restaurants, sports centre, pharmacy, physician, theatre, bus stops, library and swimming pool.
- We have over 1,400 residential bedrooms on our campus, with free Wi-Fi, and our operation is supported by 24 hours assistance. Our campus is safe and friendly. We are located in a safe, residential neighbourhood, 7km south of Dublin Airport and 5km north of Dublin City Centre.
- We receive over 3,000 students to our residential programmes each summer.
Please Note:
- Our programmes are offered to student groups only, managed by international tour operators / high schools / international schools. It is not possible for individual junior students to register for our programme.
- We do not offer Host Family placements for junior students in summertime.
2026 Programme Dates & Information
June 2026
Intake dates for arriving groups: Sunday 7 June, Sunday 14 June and Sunday 21 June. Minimum stay is 7 days and 6 nights for June groups.
July 2026
Intake dates for arriving groups: Sunday 19 July, Sunday 26 July (we are now full for early July period). Minimum stay is 14 days and 13 nights for July groups.
August 2026
Intake dates for arriving groups: Sunday 2 August, Sunday 9 August, Sunday 16 August, Sunday 23 August. Minimum stay is 7 days and 6 nights for August groups.
What is included?
- 15 hours (20 lessons) of English Communication Skills Classes per week
- DCU Residence Accommodation (Twin Bedrooms for students and Single Bedrooms for leaders)
- Full Board Meals from DCU Restaurant, special dietary preferences can be facilitated.
- Airport Transfers by private shuttle bus, led by DCU staff member
- Half Day Activities on weekdays – to Dublin area
- Evening time Activities on Campus (Discos, Bingo, Sports)
